I am a photographer. Have been for a long time. And right now, I am a photographer of kids, primarily doing school pictures. It's something that started organically several years ago when I had the opportunity to get involved with the elementary school my daughters attended. Now working with schools is a big part of my business, and I love it. I can't think of a more lively age group to work with. I'm a big kid at heart and I enjoy their energy.
A little about me. I'm an expatriate from the Puget Sound area. I came down to California three-plus decades ago to spend a few months in San Francisco. Just a little change of environment, I told myself. I brought one camera. I now find myself having lived in the Bay Area for well over half of my life. How in the world did that happen? Oh, and I now have quite a few more cameras.
I've been actively involved in photography, by far and away my favorite avocation and now my vocation, since my days as a photographer for my high school newspaper and yearbook. Ah, the good old days. Back when film was the only option. Back when you used to have to monitor very closely how many shots you could take because you might run out of film. My pockets were always full of extra rolls of Tri-X or T-Max. Now? It's all digital all the time. I'm a big fan of Canon and currently use a 5DMark4 and 5DMark3, but I also love the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone. In either case, I'll fire off a thousand or more exposures on a project and not think twice. Some of those images are now on this website.
Thanks for taking a look. Feel free to drop me a line.
